Daylight savings problem

Hi all,

 

VVX500. I set it via provisioning server to use NTP server to get right time.

Server is set to au.ntp.pool.org

 

Now, for timezone. I tried to set offset to 36000 (+10hr) and I tried to set city to Melbourne. Tried one OR another. In both cases time is 1 hr off, which is, I presume, is due to daylight savings.

On my PC I have the options to "Adjust daylight savings automatically", but can not find similar option in the phone config.

 

So, how do you adjust for daylight savings?

 

By the way, how do you select city code in "device.sntp.gmtOffsetcityID" field of config file?

But it is off by 1. If I set city to 112 (Melbourne), phone thinks it is in Magadan. I had to set to 113 (Sydney, Brisbane) and phone now shows Melbourne.

Soundstation IP 5000 no ip with dhcp

Hi,

 

I have a Soundstation IP 5000 that cannot get an ip on dhcp. I tried resetting multiple times with no succes. My others Soundstation IP 5000 all work except for this one. I do not have a provisioning server.

 

Please help me!

Trio 8500 doesn't power on via PoE switch

Phone Model Trio 8500
Part Number 3111-66700-001 Rev:B
UC Software Version 5.9.3.8724

 

I have a Trio 8500 that's been working w/no issues until now. When connected to a PoE switch it will no longer power on but it will when connected to a PoE injector (and the phone works when powered w/an injector). Multiple switches and patch cables were used and the switch port config was set to auto & static for inline power. I also performed a factory reset on the phone and there was no change.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Cannot initialize SoundPoint IP 331

Hi,

 

I have several SoundPoint IP331 at my work. I was succeded in upgrade firmware from some of them.

But there is one I cannot upgrade. It cannot download 2345-12365-001.log.

 

I tried with UC 3.3.1 Split/BootRom 4.1.3 and with UC 4.0.1 Split/BootRom 4.4.0b

The result is the same. Phone enters in loop and cannot Find Application.

 

It's Interesting, because it can download 000000000000.log, you could check on log attached here.

I did a test on downloading this file with same user and password in another application, got succesfull.

VVX 411 Continuous Reboot

Hello All,

We have connected a VVX Colour Expansion Module to a VVX 411 phone using the auxiliary cable provided with the expansion module. The UC Software version of VVX 411 is 5.6.0.17325. Initially, when I connected (the VVX 411 was on and registered with SFB), I could see it is detected and I could assign a contact to the 1st button of the expansion module. As soon I press that button it started reboot cycle and it goes on continuously until I remove the expansion module. 

 

Both App log and Boot logs are attached.

 

Please support to fix this issue. 

 

 

 

Contact directory -- remove myself

Hi all,

This is a generic contact directory question.

Phone happily loads 000000000000-directory.xml file and displays contacts.

But There is really no point to include phone's own extension in a contact list. Is it possible to instruct the phone NOT to display its own extension in a contact list? I can, of course, create separate file for each phone, but, hopefully, there is an easier way.

 

I use is VVX500 (5.9.6.2327) at the moment, but don't think it is relevant.

Google Calendar integratiion?

Is it possible to integrate with Google calendar? I only found information on how to integrate with Outlook.

We do not use Microsoft products here and use Google Calendar instead.

Polycom VVX jquery vulnerability on network security scan

I have several Polycom VVX 300 and 310 phones installed at my customer's site. They recently did a network security scan and the phones are being flagged with a JQuery vulnerability. I have looked into the phones settings and researched the internet but I cannot seem to find a way to disable this so it no longer shows up on the scan. 

The phones are firmware 5.8.0.12848. They are connecting to ReInvent Cloud service.

I have attached a screen shot of the scan message they are getting about the phones.

 

Any help on this is appreciated.

blocking inbound sip robo calls

I installed 4 vvx150 and my client keeps receiving inbound sip robo calls,these calls are not coming from their did # apparently theres is a setting that i have to block for these calls to stop.

i was told its in the phone settings and not thru the carrier,

Separate dialtones for internal and external calls?

Hi all,

 

VVX500 phone, app. 5.9.6.2327

When user picks up handset, dialtone is present.

To dial outside number, user has to press 0. I modified digitmap to re-generate dialtone after "0" is pressed, but I would like to use different dialtone. Is it possible?

Digitmap not applying?

Hi all,

 

VVX500 phone, 5.9.6.2327 software.

 

Dialing off-hook.

In the web interface, I set digimap to nothing and apply it via config file.

 

Well, digitmap does not work at all. If I am to copy it and place into web interface, it is functioning as expected. So, digitmap itself is OK, looks like phone is ignoring it.

 

Here is what I see on the right hand site of the configuration screen.

 

 

    • Digitmap
      (dialplan.digitmap)
    • All digits that you enter on the phone will be compared with the digitmap specified for this setting. If the digits match a digitmap pattern, the call will be automatically placed, without the Send key being pressed. The digitmap can specify one or more patterns.
  • Configured Source Values
    • The parameter values from different sources are listed here. If a parameter value is configured from multiple sources, the phone will use the value from the highest-priority source.
    • Local:Not Applicable
    • Web:Not Applicable
    • Config:0,000|1xx|0,[589]xxxxxxx|0,0xxxxxxxxx|0,1800xxxxxx
    • TR-069:Not Applicable
    • SIP:Not Applicable

Another thing I noticed -- when I apply digitmap via web interface, information in web interface does not change -- it still shows "Web: Not Applicable". I attached screenshot from web interface. note that digitmap is set, but information on the right shows as "Not Applicable";

Trio 8800 OTD

Hi

I have a Polycom Trio on 5.9.3.8724.

I am trying to utilise the OTD service offered by Polycom.

 

I have successfully signed into the service and connected OTD service to Microsoft 365 and have confirmed its able to see my room mailboxes using the test feature.

 

I am now trying to setup a calendar on the Trio following the instructions provided however my Trio never connects. If i follow the procedure to set it up as a registered device then it sits on pending for a while until eventually showing unreachable. I have also attempted to use the autoregistration route, however the device never appears on the OTD portal.

 

I also have two cloud relays that are showing on the OTD portal, but they are also showing as unreachable. Is there any additional config that needs to be completed to get the Trio talking to the OTD service?

Is there a way to listen in on a call?

The person leading our Client Relations team was really excited to start training in the newest members of our growing team by listening / whispering / barging on their calls. I thought we could do that through our VoIP provider's service, but that service is available only on incoming calls. A supervisor is not able to listen in on / whisper on / barge in on outgoing calls.

 

I know there are a few things we've been able to do as a function on the Polycom phone, not of the VoIP service and I'm hoping this is one of them, but I haven't been able to find that path yet. Any ideas?

Our customer have some Poly Trio 8800 registered succesful to Cisco UCM. Now, they have the requirement to configure 2nd line for Microsoft Teams registration. Base profile is Generic, I think that is OK and line 2 is also present. Nowhere I can find a config file for MS Teams registration. Could anyone help me out?

E.164 parsing for contact directory matching?

Hi,

 

Is there a way to make the up.useDirectoryNames function on a VVX phone match a contact when it contains the phone number in local format (e.g. 10-digits in North-America) and the incoming call's CallerID is in E.164 international format (e.g. +1-NXX-NXX-XXXX)? 

 

(...or vice-versa. It would be nice if contacts would match no matter the formatting used in the contact and/or CallerID. Right now, they have to match exactly. Leading 1, +, 00 or 011 should be ignored.)

Add Softkey Greyed Out

For some reason I cannot modify, or create new softkey buttons. The Add Softkey button is greyed out. 

How can I get this to work?

VVX 501 PoE standard

I'd like to confirm if VVX 500/501s in fact support PoE 802.3at standard.

Datasheet states "Built-in auto sensing IEEE 802.3 at Power over  Ethernet (Class 4)", though FAQ I've found here https://www.polycom.com/content/dam/polycom/common/documents/faqs/vvx500-faq-enus.pdf states "PoE supports IEEE 802.af Power Over Ethernet Class (Class 4) Standards."

 

The rest of VVX line of phones (including VVX 601) have 802.af in the datasheets, so I'd like to confirm if VVX501 is in fact the only model that supports "at" or it was a typo in the datasheet?

 

 

 

 

Poly Trio with Registered and not Registered

I have a question about the difference with the registered and not registered version. I see in file from Steffen Baier

 

reg.2.address [provided by zoom] reg.2.server.1.address [provided by zoom] reg.2.auth.userId [provided by zoom] reg.2.auth.password [provided by zoom]

 

What is the benefit of having this

And what is value because Zoom support department don't known this value
