Polycom VVX Expansion Module - Limited to 34 Entries but 40 on the module, why?
Hi,
as Title suggest, I have a VVX300 Phone, and a VVX Expansion module (not the colour one)
The Expansion modules has 40 buttons, and the phone has 6 "lines" availability.
But I can only program 34 entries, meaning I have 12 Buttons on the expansion module I simply cannot use.
I had also intended on adding another expansion module possibly, that obviously wouldnt be a good idea.
A bunch of what I want to add is speed dials, should I not add them via BLF?
Is this limit due to the Phone (VVX300) or is it across the range?
Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 wont boot past splash screen.
A Polycom SoundStation IP 7000 we bought about two years ago, it has now sudanly stopped booting past the splash screen.
I have tried the hold down "1 3 5 7" method, to restore to factory default. Howver it doesn't do anything.
Are there any other methods to try to recorer the phone?
Polycom IP7000 stuck at boot
Hello,
my Polycom IP7000 is stuck at booting up. It constantly shows the Polycom logo with red LED's. I tried to reset it with 1357 but nothing happens. The loudspeaker does some sort of static sound too. The unit stays with the boot logo for hours and nothing is changing.
Is there anything i can do?
The MAC-adress/SN Number is 00:04:F2:EB:64:FA

Intercom Auto Answer using "Alert-Info"

I posted about this a few months ago, but wanted to check to see if anything has changed.
I am trying to use the Intercom "Auto-Answe"r feature however, the provider "Vonage Business" strips out the "Alert-Info" when the Invite is sent so the called phone does not receive this INFO field and cannot respond.
Wondering if there is a way to accomplish this in a way similiar to the PTT/Page feature where everything stays on the local network and does not require it to go to the server where it can be mangled or deleted?

Trio 8500 operation in hybrid setup
Hello,
I'm considering the Trio 8500 for our three small conference rooms but I'm having trouble finding out if they will function as expected in our environment. Here are the details:
-Trio would be registered as a SIP phone to our hosted provider OnSIP
-Trio would be connected via USB to the conference room PC to function as mic/speaker for Google Meet, GoToMeeting, etc.
The question is, for example, I am in a Google Meet session with the Trio providing mic/speaker functionality via USB, can I then, on the Trio interface bring up the dialer and make a SIP call outbound to bring in a voice participant who would then be merged into the conference for audio?
And the reverse is also a question. If I am using the Trio as a SIP phone and then decide to startup a Google Meet or GTM session, can I merge that audio into the SIP call that I have in progress?
If the answer is yes, are the steps to do this on the Trio fairly simple for users? Or is it a complicated mess? I have been unable to get an answer from any provider or integrator on what I thought would be a common usage.

Factory Reset Phones via DHCP Options
I was looking for a way to use dhcp options to force a factory reset on phones. Would like to set up one or two ports on a switch that I can plug phones into and they would pull a special 000000000.cfg file that would force the phone to reset. Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions?

BToE on Windows Server 2012 R2
Hello guys,
we tried the new BTOE 3.7.0 feature manual pairing with our VVX Phones later than 5.7.0.
It works great for our Windows Client Operating Systems.
We also have a very big Citrix Xen Shared Desktop Farm running on Windows Server 2012R2 and Windows Server 2016.
We read about the limititations on release notes.
● Citrix XenDesktop running on Windows Server Operation System is not supported.
Is there any chance that polycom will also support this BToE feature on Windows Server Operating Systems in future? Is this feature on a Roadmap of Polycom?
Or is there any special trick to install this BToE feature on Server Operating Systems?
For our environment with thousand Citrix Users on an shared desktop farm it would be great. If this feature would be supported we would pay a lot of VVX phones :)

DTMF issues
Hi,
We recently changed our phone system and are having some DTMF issues with a few polycom phones.
On other phones I set the DTMF to inband and this solved the issue there, but there is no such option in the web config for polycom phones.
I already followed this faq:
But I still didn't get it to work after chaging payload sizes etc.
The main devices are:
SoundPoint IP 550
UC Software Version 4.1.1.0260
BootROM Software Version 5.1.0.85063
And VVX 501
UC Software Version 5.7.0.11768
Updater Version 5.9.0.9355
Using a 3CX PBX.
Any solutions here?

Put the Polycom VVX volume to minimum at each restart/reboot ?
I just bought a brand new VVX 501 phone from the internet.
I would like to know what's the way to set the volume at the minimum when the phone reboot or restart, every time.
I don't find in the admin guide a command to set it, and it's very annoying (I'm use to use the phone speaker).
The only thing I find in the documents is persist the volume after each call (using "voice.volume.persist") and set it manually to the minimum with the keyboard. Which is not what I want.
I asked my seller but he doesn't care about that, I got no answer at all.
So, can you tell me how ?

IP 7000 and CUCM 11.5 cannot make calls to 1800#'s
Hello, We have an IP 7000 and cannot make calls to 1800#'s (1800, 1866, 1877). All other outbound dialing works and we have other units at the site that are setup the exact same way and they are able to dial 1800#'s. Digitmap: [2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT|**x.T|[7-9][0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx.
VVX 410/411 Connect to Bluetooth Headphones
I am looking to see if it is possible to find an adapter or configure my Polycom 411 so that I can use bluetooth headphones to take calls (not a headset).
