Has anyone tried to store a company Asset ID in Resource Manager (RPRM 10) alongside the device?
We have a company asset register and the processes of procuring and deploying any device will assign an Asset ID. While we do associate the Asset ID and the Polycom Serial Number in the asset system, we have not been able to do that in RPRM. We want it in RPRM so that if the support engineer has a call from an end user which has quoted the Asset ID, the we can find the device.
Is there a way of extending RPRM with user defined attributes or is there an existing attribute we could use to hold an Asset ID? The improved "Import the CSV File" mechanism in the new version of RPRM10.2 looks promising in being able to load the data if we can find somewhere to hold it, so keen to know if anyone else has tackled this.
