Firmware Update U.C Software 5.3.1

Hello,

i set up a ftp local server with differents versions who works like a charm.

I need to downgrade some polycom with version 5.3.1.0436.

I download from the polycom website : http://downloads.polycom.com/voice/voip/uc_sw_releases_matrix.html

the version 5.3.1 split.

 

But when i try to downgrade or upgrade with this version , nothing happen to the phone.

 

I test 5.6.0 , 5.3.0 , 5.4.5 , with no problem..

 

Maybe files are corrupted in this version ? 

 

Good to know : If i used polycom server , the downgrade is ok...

Polycom Trio 8800 error orange

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with polycom trio 8800 when making a video SIP call.

In the screen appear a piece orange color in a short time then away.

Only 4 site is problem in total 14 site, and we using polycom clariti.

 

Topology is:

Polycom trio 8800 with visual+ -----> DMA 7000 virtual ----------->RMX 800ve.

 

Please help me to resolve and thanks a lot.

WAV file playback on Mac computer

I have a recorded call on the USB memory stick thats inserted in the VVX 601. When I remove the USB stick and insert into my MacBook, I see a lot of files on the USB stick, however, I can't locate any WAV files. I have searched, sorted by size (phone say's it's a 75MB recording), search by date, etc. Where are the WAV files stored?

VVX400 Keypad Not Working

I have a VVX400 and the keypad 1,2,3 and up arrow wont work. i ran the hardware diagnostics and of course whn i press 1,2 or 3 and arrow up it doesnt register. what else can i do?

Dear Community,

 

I try to reset to the factory setting 100 pcs VVX 600 and 300 series (UCS 5.7.1 firmware) using FTP provisioning server.

All configuration between FTP server and VVX's is configured properly.

From the Admin guide, I can't find any information about the feature like: 

"up.basicSettings.factoryResetEnabled" (It sounds like a factory reset, but in fact it isn't..)

Polycom Trio LDAP

Hi,

 

I am going around in circles so hoping someone might be able to help me?

I am using:

 

Polycom Trio 8800

UC 5.5.4.2255 (latest firmware)

SIP is provided by Mitel

 

So far we have been using Trio's for Skype only. Last week I added SIP funcionality and allocated number from our Mitel system.

 

However, I can't get the directory feature to work on the sip line(Skype works). If I dial external number directly, it works. If I dial internal extension, it works. If I start the call then lookup contact(from Skype) and click 'Dial' it closes the call.

 

I read around licensing, even setup provisioning server(not yet tested since I am new to this) but I've drawn blank.

 

I am helping to setup new meeting rooms and would prefer to get this feature working, otherwise we will be stuck in providing 2 pieces of kit(Mitel phone and Trio) and use up 2 network connections.

 

Any thoughts of where I might be going wrong?

 

 

Disabling dial pad and other keys on VVX 201 using provisioning

Hello,

I am trying to diable as much keys as possible on a VVX201 using provisioning.

 

My configuration:
Telefonmodell  VVX 201 
Teilenummer  3111-40450-001 Rev:A 
MAC-Adresse  64:16:7F:85:F9:C9 
IP-Modus  IPv4
UC-Softwareversion  5.7.1.2205 
Updater-Version  5.9.1.1991

 

Page 459 of the uc-software-admin-guide-5-7-0 says:

  • key.x.function.prim
    Set the primary key function for key y on phone model x.
    Null (default)
    String (maximum of 255 characters)
    This entry seems to be wrong at all as there is no 'y' in that string, but page 602 helps a bit more on the string itself as it states the string "key.x.y.function.prim"

Page 463 gives me the mapping for the VVX201.

  • The whole Dialpad seems to be mapped to Key4.
    The information on page 602 indicates that a mapping using the Model-Number only works for VVX300 and a few others. However, if that would be the real case, I see no sense on posting a mapping for the VVX201 on page 463.

Therefore I set in the features.cfg the following:

  •  <key key.vvx201.4.function.prim="Null"></key>

After rebooting, the app-log file says:

  • 0514161439|cfg  |4|00|Prm|features.cfg: Unknown parameter "key.vvx201.4.function.prim" found, ignoring.

So my question is:
What did I do wrong and if there is no way to map the dialpad as well as most other keys to "Null", what would be the best other way to prevent users doing other stuff with the phone than answering it and maybe changing the volume of the phone. The phones itself should be only used to answer a call back from an ACD System.

Dialpad for GTM calls is not working

Our Polycom is running firmware version 5.5.4.2255 and it is a trio 8800. We have line 1 configured for Skype for Business and line 2 configured to connect to our Mitel phone system. When we make a call to a Go To Meeting number and then enter in the GTM access code the automated GTM auto-attended says that we haven't entered in any numbers, even though with have using the Dialpad on the phone.


SIP vvx 310 multiple register with SFB

My question is the following story with a vvx 310 with SFB (P / N: 2200-46161-018), my question is if this phone model supports multiple SIP registrations and instead of using the SFB account I can use it to make a SIP registry.

Leave handset enabled while on speaker

Good afternoon to all,

 

Is there a way to leave handset enabled while on speaker.

Scenario - Your on a call you want others in the office to hear so you hit the speaker button but continue holding the handset, for clarity you want the mic of the handset to be enabled.

 

A customer requested it, I check on Yealink and it does work that way...

 

Issue: Cannot access admin via IP web utility (VVX500)

I am trying to log into the admin side of the Polycom Web Configuration Utility via the phone's IP address (model# VVX500) but I can only access the 'user' side. I need the admin side to change the SIP configuration. I went on tried reseting the admin to default by noting the MAC address; powering down the phone then powering it back up; pressing 1,3,5 when the welcome screen appears but I cannot figure out how to enter the MAC address as a password when it prompts for it to initialize the resetting process. It only shows the asterisk as placeholders and not any other characters.

How can I find out the DND Status of VVX Phones remotely

Hi All,

Been searching for some time on the subject with no luck. I've gone through phone state polling but its just returning Active/Inactive (phone in use/idle) but nothing like on DND mode or not. Im working on VVX 201 phones.

Would you kindly advise on a solution please. Thank you so much!

BLF transfer scenario configuration

Hi all,

 

I'm starting with Polycom configs and it's also my first time posting so bear with me :)

 

I was asked to make this scenario happen:

VVX410 with 3 expansion modules

They want to answer a call and press one of the line numbers to do an attended transfer to a receipient.

At this point they can:

- Transfer the call by hanging the call with the receipient or by pressing the transfer button (but not have to chose the number to transfer to)

- Cancel the call with the receipient to talk to the initial caller

 

I managed to add the BLF users to the line buttons but can't make the transfer work as intended. When I press transfer it will ask for where to transfer to and if I hang up it will just stop the call with the receipient.

 

Is this possible at all and if so how would I go into this?

EFK "Transfer to VM" on VVX configured with multiple registrations

Hello,

 

I have encountered a scenario where our EFK action string for our "Send2VM" softkey is failing.  Typically we use the following on phones configured with a single registration and it works just great:

 

$Chold$*55$P5N4$$Tinvite$

 

However, when the endpoint is configured with multiple registrations, such as when they have a shared call appearance in addition to their own extension, the key doesn't behave as expected and the transfer fails.  Let's say reg.1/linekey 1 is x100 and reg.2/linekey 2 is x300.

 

If you've answered a call on x100 and use the softkey to transfer that call to VM, the Polycom attempts to use the linekey associated with x300 as opposed to using x100, which obviously fails.  This happens regardless of how many calls per linekey we allow (24), or how many linekeys we assign to x100. 

 

For now, I've been able to work around this by modifying the action to "$FTransfer$*55" for the users who have phones with multiple registrations on them, but it would be great if our original method could be made to work as the workaround isn't quite as nice.

 

Is there a parameter we can define that will force the phone to use the proper line when attempting this type of action? 

 

PS - I've tried this on many versions of firmware including 5.7.1, 5.4.7, 5.4.0, and even down into the 4.1.x path, so I don't think this is a change that happened.  I'm sure this behavior has existing for some time and we just never noticed it before as 99% of our endpoints are configured with a single registration.

IP 5000 downgrade

I have an IP 5000 that I need downgraded to a later version. Currently it is on version 5.0.8.0935 and I need it on 4.3.1, 4.0.4, 3.3.3, or 3.3.2 in order to function with the version of Asterisk that we''re using.

 

What is the easiest way to do this? Do I need to roll back drivers or can I just do a fresh install of the version I need?

Polycom VVX 410 losing local contacts regularly

Hello 

 

A customer of ours is having some regular issues where there local contacts that have been entered are being lost. This is being caused by a reboot of the phones after a loss of connection. 

 

We have confirmed with there IT company that there is nothing network related casuing this reboot. Is there a setting on the phones that automatically refreshes connection which could be causing these drops and losing the contacts?

Soundstation ip 5000 compatibility with Avaya Aura 7.1

Hi,

I have a problem with a soundstation ip 5000 with Avaya Aura 7.1.

When i call the phone i am unable to  unhook. The phone ring but i can't unhook.

The sip line is register , all parameters are good. Is the soundstation ip 5000 compatible with Avaya Aura 7.1?    Thank you
