BLF issues.

Hello Community!

 

I'm having an issue whereby, we register the phone to a load balancer, this then assigns a sip server from a pool of 4 servers - all of which has presence enabled.

 

If I register to a specifc sip server,  I can receive status updates through presence about other phones on our network on my VVX310 . But, if I point at the load balancer, then I cannot receive updates like - phone ringing, phone busy etc

 

Do you know, why this might happen, only for Polycom phones, and no others (Snom, Yealink, Grandstream etc....)?

SoundPoint 331s having to manually reboot to register

Hello I'm trying to isolate a issue have a few hundred polycom 331s that are located in seperate networks accross the US. Every few weeks, random phones will lose registration with the error "URL Call Disabled"  however just simply rebooting the phone will allow it to register again. I've attempted to replicate this issue in my lab in every possible way to see if its the network causing this but the phones will re-register without having to reboot. I also noticed that during the error, the phones still have an internet connection. I'm stumped on why does it need to hard reboot to register successfully.

 

I attached the log file and config file (removed the auth details) however I copied a few lines below to show what happens before I reboot the phone.

VVX 600 Dialer Auto Suggest

Have a customer who wants to turn off this feature.  Is this possible ?

VVX D60 no lines mapped

I have taken my VVX 600 and attached a D60 to it. Setup is quick and easy, just added this config:

 

feature.dect.enabled="1"
reg.1.terminationType="VVX-DECT"
VVXD60.Handset.1.outGoingLineIndex="1"
VVXD60.Handset.1.line.1="1"

 

Though the phone shows everything set up correctly the handset is not working. All I see on the handset is a zero. I can provision a second line and that seems to work fine, but I want the same extension on both the 600 and the D60.

 

Polycom VVX300 and VVX400 Templates

Does any one know of any VVX300 and VVX400 phone templates?  I want to be able to show my customer a picture, or representation, of the phone with what it will look like once programmed.  Example:  it would show a vvx300 and they could see that the first softkey is voicemail, the 2nd softkey is DND, etc.

Been looking around and can't find a straight answer on this one so any help would be great.

 

Looking at the VVX range of phones is it possible to both Skype For Business and a local SIP at the same time - have 2 lines one pointing to a SIP server and one pointing to SfB?

Local Directory Sorting and removal of Nickname

Dear Team,

 

I am using Polycom VVX 300s and are pulling local contact directories from a server.

 

We would a solution for the following;

 

1. What is the parameter used to stop displaying a "Nick Name" when browsing the directory?

 

2. What parameter is used to sort the contact directory by "First Name"?

Polycom VVX D60 ring back tone

I´ve just bought the new Polycom VVX D60 handset. It is paired with the Polycom VVX 310 model. My problem is that I cannot hear the ring back tone when making calls. With the VVX 310 there is no problem. The ring back tones are always heard. When I´m making a call from the D 60 handset, I´ve just can hear the voice when the other part attends, but not the ring back tones.

 

The question is: how can I solve this problem?

Polycom VVX600 Shared lines unregister

Hi everyone,

One of our customers has mutliple VVX600  in use. One each phone, there is the primary line of the user, and about 10 Shared Lines (Shared Call appearance - we are using Broadsoft system) to handle the calls.

Issue is that these phones loose registration mutliple times per day; after a few minutes they are back up and running. This is of course very frustrating for our customer.

Other phones in the office (including VVX-series and IP-series) do not unregister, so there is no problem with the internet access.

We already changed our router, moved to another internet-line,.. without any success.

Phones are on UC 4.1.6-software.

Anyone experienced this behaviour? Should I upgrade to a newer release (meaning: is the bug known? I couldn't find anything about it)

Soundstation IP6000 Digimap.

Hello,

 

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help as I'm pulling my hair out. 

 

We have a single Polycom IP6000 SIP device. If we dial before hitting the handset button it calls fine. If the users hits the handset button (to get a dial tone) and then dial the digits the call 99% of the time fails.

 

I believe the digimap could be the issue? We are UK based.

 

Currently it is 

 

[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxT|**x.T

It needs to be able to deal with

 

3 digit ext's, begininng 5,6 or 8

999 calls for emergency

9 for an outside line then 0xxxxxxxxxx (UK mobiles and landlines)

9 for an outside line then 00 for int dial and then country code (1 US, 351 portugal, 48 poland) etc etc

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I mute the sound for the "network is down" alert? I only need to mute the sound, the alert may stay if needed.

RealPresence Trio 8800 - add more than 1 line

is possible on a Polycom RP trio 8800 to add more than one line (see attachment)? We'd like to register it on Lync and on our SIP server

We have installed the latest software version, 5.4.3

VVX D60 Codec not renegotiating

I have a VVX D60 paired properly to shared line on a VVX410. I'm able to extension dial internally to VVX500 with g722, but If I dial a PSTN number in this case my cell phone. It drops the call after receiving a g729 request. If I switch the VVX410 codec priority to g729AB, I am able to call my cell phone and works. But if I then call my internal extension it will drop the call like it did earlier with the cell phone. So it seem like the D60 is only using the first codec on the priority list and not renegotiating the codecs.

 

If there a fix for this? tired firmwares 5.4.3 and 5.5.0 UCS.

Can't Add soft keys on VVX600

To see my previous posts, please look [here].  I am running the latest version 5.5.0 of the UC software. I have a problem where my soft key additions are not showing up on the phone. I have a bunch of line and BLF keys displaying OK, but for the life of me, I cannot seem to add soft keys. I have set the feature.enhancedFeatureKeys.enabled=1, along with some 670's that I was able to configure soft keys for as examples. In the web configuration on the VVX600, the option to add soft keys is grayed out in the section "Soft Key Configuration". In my <MAC>-web.cfg file I have the following soft key defined (this works great for the 670's)

VVX default alpha password entry

We have a customer using 22 VVX 500's with Hotdesking, those 22 phones are shared between 62 agents that rotate in and out.

Each agent has a unique phone number, and PIN to log into their phone. The trouble they are having is that the field on the phone to enter the phone number automatically sets the key entry to '123'. The password field sets itself to 'abc'. Considering they all use 4 digit PIN numbers this is a huge aggrevation for them.

 

Is there a way, to set that default password keyboard setting to 123 and not abc?

Microphone gain becomes too sensitive

We have a soundstation ip7000 that we are using in a conference room.  The mic on the phone is so sensitive that it picks up every little paper shuffle or noise and drowns out the person who is actually speaking.  

 

Is there any way to reduce the sensitivity?  You literally have to sit like a statue to keep it from picking up any movement.

What to do when a IP7000 has message "application missing" on a boot up?

Hardwiring Laptop to RealPresence Trio 8800

I am tryign to create a one-sheet to hang in our conference rooms with several options for using the RealPresence Trio phone. I notice many users hardwire their laptop to the phone. Is the main benefit that you are using the phone's audio? Is there any other benefit to plugging the laptop in directly to the phone? I just need a sheet of "best practice" bullet points and I wasn't sure if there was any other reason to do that. Any feedback is sure appreciate.  -- Mark

VVX500 on 5.5.0 has not Theme option

According to the documentation, there should be an option to set the theme between Classic and Modern under Settings > Basic > Preferences > Theme.  That option does not exist on our Polycom VVX500s.  Nor does it work to add device.theme="Classic" in the phone.cfg file.  Currently our phones seemed to be locked into the "Modern" theme which has the classic skype feel with light blue/white.  However, our users prefer the darker look.
