Presence function

$

Apoogies if this post is in the wrong area - I'm new here.

I have 12 Polycom VVX400 phones in a small office on two floors. I had "presence" enabled so that we could each see who was on calls on the resepctive floors. Around 2 months ago - an issue arose with the presence funtion enabled whereby we had only one way audio with callers. I had to remove the presence funtion from all the phones to restore two-way audio. One-way audio returns as soon as I try to set up presence again but we really need this function to work as it had done for around ten months without any issues.

Any help would be appreciated since our service provider seems clueless as to how to reslove this.

I am having difficulty in getting a Soundstation IP 6000 to register with Cisco Call Manager 9.1

I am getting the following on the phone

000059.869|sip  |*|03|Fast Boot Measurement Point: Ready for Call, uptime: 59.869 sec.
000059.871|app1 |*|03|Ctx [0] Registered [false]

000059.902|copy |4|03|Configuration of URL failed

I've never had a 500 error when registering a SIP phone before?

RealPresence Trio Visual+ ethernet settings

Hello,

We have a realpresence trio kit that includes the visual+ device. We have everything working so far, however the only issue we have is that the ethernet settings on the visual+ device are set by DHCP.

We want to set a fixed ip. I'm not able to find on the manual the instructions to do that.

I have seen that it must be done using a usb device and some xml files  however the instructions were not clear enough.

My questions are: How can I set the IP on the visual+ device and how can I reset the visual+ device to factory defaults in case something goes wrong.

Best regards

Jorge Chibante

ip7000 reboot loop "application not present"

we have changed our provisioning server's ip address. i went around and updated the provisioning server ip address on 6/7 ip7000 phones all successfully. this particular unit is stuck in an infinite loop and will not boot up. i have logged into it locally with the admin password and attempted to 1. reset settings, 2. format file system, 3. update bootblock. all of which fail and return me to the phone constantly rebooting. After clearing all settings i have also tried to simply input the new provisioning server's ip address and allow new configuration to be pushed down to the device. when the polycom phone tries to boot i get the following,

Updating initial configuration

Could not download "mac address of my unit".cfg

Using existing configuration

Error, application is not Present!

Rebooting

The phone is stuck rebooting in this mode since, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I should also mention that i have tried to hold down 1357 during the initial boot to reset all cache to no avail

Is there any way to adjust MIC gain from the phone itself?

Hi, we have VVX 300 phones in our office. Some agents use them with wired headset which do not have a gain adjustment, and some people use wireless headsets with random MIC gain dials on the headsets themselves.

I don't want to globally change the mic sensivity on all phones or individual phones, as people swap desk phones and headsets with each other constantly. What I would like is if there were any way to create a softkety on the phone itself that could adjust mic sensitivity to users could tune this themselves. Can it be done? We have a programmer who could probably code this, I'm just wondering if it is possible.

Last week I was attempting to make a call to Germany.  I dialed 011 to begin as I am accustomed to doing for international calls.  I then dialed the number I was given.  I was not able to complete the call.  I got a message to contact my administrator.

I have an Soundstation IP 5000 that has been working fine for a few months.  Today I get a message that the Network is Down and when I check the network status it has LAN inactive.  Does anyone know what may have caused this and how to make it active again?

Thanks

Group Paging Failing

Hello,

I am setting up a simple page group between three VVX 600 sets and one VVX400 set just to see if it would work for one of our situations.  I pretty much left everything default in the sets' on-line configuration other than enabling the feature.  The feature seems to work fine when the three 600s are assigned but once I add the 400, it causes the members to stop recieving the pages.  To get it working again, I have to remove the 400 from the group and reboot the three 600s and it goes back to normal.  Are the 600s the only sets that can recieve and send a page?  They are all version 5.4.2.2834.

Thanks

Name the calls on hold

Hello team,

I have some VVX300 in the office. Is there any way that when putting on hold, I can see the names of the people I have on hold?

For example, I switch from line 2 to line 3. I have 2 calls on hold and am active with the 3rd. Can I setup so I can see the caller ID name on the labels that indicate there are 2 lines on hold?

Thank in advance.

Polycom Trio 8800 rebooting

I have a Polycom Trio 8800 that is configured to run against our Skype4B environment and it is in a continual reboot loop.

The device was previously working fine, and I have been able to determine that it is when it starts synchronising the contacts.

If I reset the device to factory defaults I can get it back to a state where it will not reboot, so it appears to be something to do with the communication with the Skype4B servers.

The only thing that has recently changed is that we updated the firmware on all of our Trio's, however the other appear to be working fine.

Hello

I am thinking about buyine a VVX 500.

Can this run as standalone without server?

How do I connect it to my tel-system as there are no analog slot and i also did not find a confirmation on DECT-compatibility.

So the only connection must be with the LAN-cable

Hi Support team,

We are  using Polycom VVX 400,300,500,600,310,410  IP terminals.

Our Network provider is Broadsoft UK.

There is contact list called Group Common Contact List on Broadsoft, How we can show this contact in our Polycom terminals ?

like we  have broadsoft Directory option for enterpries contacts.

Regards,

Shashank

IP 7000 digit map timeout question

So I have a digit map set to the following on 4 IP7000s

[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|9[2-9]xxxxxxxxxT|9[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxxT|[1-9]xxxT|**x.T

I'm having issues with the 10 or 11 digit dial not timing out and dialing on it's own, the customer has to hit "dial" to place the call. How can I enable the time out correctly for these?

Also, I am planning to change the digit map to the below as I thought about it more and realized I had a few "errors".

[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|9[2-9]xxxxxxxxxT|91[2-9]xxxxxxxxxT|[1-8]xxxT|**x.T

9[2-9]xxxxxxxxxT should allow them to the trunk access code of 9, then a 10 digit number starting with 2-9 and have it dial after the timeout correct?

91[2-9]xxxxxxxxxT should allow them to dial the trunk access code of 9, then 1 and 10 digits starting with 2-9 and have it dial after the timeout correct?

[1-9]xxxT does allow them to dial an extension without hitting dial so I am just baffled why the other lines do not work in the same manner. I wonder if my corrected digit map will fix this but I am unable to make the change at this point since it requires a reboot of the phones.

These all are currently running the latest 4.0.11.0583 UC software

Thanks!

Missed Call directory for shared call appearance on SP 450

$

We are running 4.0.11.0583 software on 2 Polycom 450s. Each phone has 2 lines with a shared call appearance of the other (not an MCA) Currently when a call comes in to the phones and is answered by one phone, the other phone does not show a "received call" or a "missed call". There is no indication there was ever a call. In reading this short document on the VVX300 there should be a way to provision those phones to show a RECEIVED call when the other phone answers. http://documents.polycom.com/topics/168971 Not sure how do set this up though and if the same provisioning can be applied with this software/hardware. TIA for any help.

ldap corporate directory

I am trying to configure an ldap query to setup a corporate directory. I was given an example to work with. I got it to work, but it also includes former employees. I want to exclude certain OUs or only query certain OUs.

The example is here:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?><!-- LDAP Example for Active Directorty Server --><!-- 10.252.75.201--><LDAP><directory><sort dir.corp.sortControl="0" /><vlv dir.corp.vlv.allow="0" /><cache dir.corp.pageSize="16" dir.corp.cacheSize="64" /><addr dir.corp.address="ldap://10.252.75.201" dir.corp.port="389" dir.corp.transport="tcp" /><baseDN dir.corp.baseDN="dc=t2voice,dc=tech-support,dc=lab" dir.corp.filterPrefix="(objectclass=person)(!(objectclass=computer))(telephoneNumber=*)" dir.corp.scope="sub" /><sync dir.corp.backGroundSync="1" dir.corp.backGroundSync.period="3600" /><view dir.corp.viewPersistence="0" /><attr1 dir.corp.attribute.1.name="sn" dir.corp.attribute.1.label="Last Name" dir.corp.attribute.1.type="last_name " dir.corp.attribute.1.filter="" dir.corp.attribute.1.sticky="0" /><attr2 dir.corp.attribute.2.name="givenName" dir.corp.attribute.2.label="First Name" dir.corp.attribute.2.type="first_name" dir.corp.attribute.2.filter="" dir.corp.attribute.2.sticky="0" dir.corp.attribute.2.searchable="0" /><attr3 dir.corp.attribute.3.name="telephoneNumber" dir.corp.attribute.3.label="Phone Number" dir.corp.attribute.3.type="phone_number" dir.corp.attribute.3.filter="" dir.corp.attribute.3.sticky="0" /><login dir.corp.user="ldap@t2voice.tech-support.lab" dir.corp.password="T3ch!ab" feature.corporateDirectory.enabled="1"/></director</LDAP>

I added the OUs to this line:
<baseDN dir.corp.baseDN="dc=t2voice,dc=tech-support,dc=lab

such as <baseDN dir.corp.baseDN="ou=users,ou=california,dc=t2voice,dc=tech-support,dc=lab
This is not working. How do I get it to do what I want it to do? I do not see anything in the documentation for this.

VVX 600 BLF and transferring calls

$

Afternoon,

New to forum, phone systems and pretty much everything Polycom. I have been doing my homework though and need to find a solution.

Is there a way once a call is placed in transfer "state" to have the BFL keys reappear on the main screen to make it easier for users to transfer calls by pushing one button.

Thanks for the help and or Insight..
